Our valued colleague in the finance department will go on parental leave in May 2026.
We are looking for someone with a passionate interest in analytical financial work who wants to become part of our knowledgeable and cohesive finance unit at the Care and Welfare Administration. The position will be a temporary role for approximately one year.

Job Responsibilities
In your role as a temporary economist, you will primarily focus on the area of Special Housing for the Elderly (SÄBO). SÄBO is one of five operational areas within the Care and Welfare Administration, led by an operations manager, approximately 30 managers, and has around 900 employees. The assignment is varied and consists of many points of contact, and as an economist, you will have a broad and varied job. The main part involves providing qualified and consultative support to the managers in the organization, where you will handle both details and the overall perspective, follow-up, budgeting, and be their internal consultant on financial matters. It is also expected that you have an interest in the operations and work with analysis and comparisons. You will also play a central role in developing processes, working methods, tools, reports, and financial analyses together with colleagues in the finance unit and at the municipal office, as well as with other support functions. You will continue the work of collaborating even more across boundaries with colleagues in HR, Recruitment, Quality, and Communication.
We encourage new ideas to be tested and value interest in more efficient working methods, and we always question whether any processes do not add value to the core business in a continuous improvement effort.
We are looking for you
who has a relevant academic degree in economics. You can either be newly graduated, at the beginning of your finance career, or already have several years of experience in qualified financial work, preferably with analytical elements. Regardless, you will have our helpful finance colleagues who will provide support tailored to your level of experience. It is advantageous if you have financial experience from before, during, or after your studies. Experience with budgeting and financial closing work within a politically governed organization is a significant advantage.
To succeed in this role, it is important that you are solution-focused, analytical, and can drive processes and implement changes effectively. You also have the ability to analyze complex information, which you can then present in a pedagogical, simplified, and clear manner. As a person, you have a positive outlook with the ability to take responsibility and plan. You thrive in a changing environment and can quickly switch between different types of assignments and tasks. You find it easy to collaborate but are also used to working independently and have the ability to create security and instill confidence in conversations and meetings.
It is essential for us that you have good knowledge of Office, especially Excel and Word. If you also have experience with the financial systems Raindance, QlikSense, Stratsys, and Personec HR module, it is an advantage.
About Us
Currently, the unit consists of six economists, two finance administrators, three local planners, and one service manager. The unit is led by a finance manager. In the administration, we have great trust in our employees and place great importance on everyone feeling comfortable and having the opportunity to develop in their jobs. The unit has the overall responsibility for leading and developing financial management within the administration and being an internal service function in the financial area. The unit also has responsibility for the administration's premises and a service unit consisting of caretakers.
We have operations in our own management, through contracts, and within a freedom of choice system. The administration has a budget of approximately 2.7 billion SEK.
